Record numbers enroll in Elyria High volleyball program
Girls at Elyria High School are moving indoors to volleyball as tennis is replaced as the major activity. 427 girls registered yesterday, up from about 410 last year, with more than 50 percent of the female student body participating. Twenty four teams formed will play a three game round, and the sport will run after school until basketball season begins. An Oberlin College group of senior physical education majors visited to observe the program and plan to return to study progress.
