EMH plan revived to build North Ridgeville health center
University Hospitals will erect a $32.4 million ambulatory health center and freestanding emergency department on 30 acres near I 480, the Turnpike and Route 10. The 50 300 square foot facility aims to expand outpatient services for UH Elyria and St John Medical Center areas with completion targeted for 2017.

Incumbents dominate fundraising as Lorain County races heat up ahead of the election. North Ridgeville Mayor Dave Gillock reports 32,812 spent with 27,846 cash left. Wellington woman killed in Route 58 head-on crash
A Wellington woman, Lula Clark, 81, died in a head-on collision on Route 58 near Merriam Road about 4 10 p m Thursday. Ronald Polich, northbound in a Ford Explorer, drove left of center and struck Clark in front of 1880 Route 58. Polich suffered non life threatening injuries but remained at the scene. Senghas attempted aid but Clark was pronounced dead.
