Night Club Alexandria to be sold at public auction

Newport Ky May 22 The Club Alexandria once a glittering Northern Kentucky night spot will be sold May 27 at public auction under court order to settle the estate of the late Arthur Dennett. The club building equipment 215 shares of stock in American and Monroe companies and 14 Jets in Newport will be offered to the highest bidder.

May 22 report from Chillicothe details 20 year old army deserter Willam Fyffe escaping county jail by sawing bars and fleeing through the corridor. WHIZ Announces Talent Search Across Four Cities

First Programs On Air Today Over WHIZ TV

WHIZ TV launches with NBC programming at 9 30 pm presenting Your Hi Parane orl. Sign on at 12 55 pm and at 1 10 pm telecasts its first baseball game Cleveland Indians versus St Louis Browns. Ohio Power Co Signs Contract With Employees

Employees at three Ohio Power Co plants approved a new two year contract with wage increases and shift differentials. Little Beverly Found After 49-Hour Search Near Menominee

Beverly Bradley, 22, was reported missing near a cottage in the Menominee area two days earlier. A Coast Guard helicopter spotted her on a swampy logging road at 12 15 pm and she was flown to St Josephs hospital, conscious but exhausted.
