Activists Criticize UC Davis Primate Center Over Monkey Escapes
Sacramento watchdog group SAEN alleges lax care at UC Davis Primate Center after the 2011 escape of 50 rhesus monkeys from an enclosure. The center says NIH guidelines were followed. investigations noted deaths of two infant monkeys and incidents of escapes and trapped animals.
