Executions Pushed Back in Ohio to 2017
Ohio will not carry out executions before 2017 as the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction runs low on lethal injection drugs and seeks new supplies. Twenty five inmates with scheduled dates from January 2017 through August 2019 face postponed executions after warrants of reprieve by Gov. Kasich. Ohio last executed in 2014 amid drug shortages and import hurdles.
