Residents oppose eminent domain and blight proceedings and threaten legal action as the city works toward a parcel-by-parcel blight study with a Nov. 3 deadline and federal aid pursuit.
An FAA investigation is under way at the Oberlin Air Route Traffic Control Center after a military F 4 and Air Force One came within 4.4 miles over Pennsylvania. Col James Cook said controller radio garbling forced him to switch to backup comms. FAA officials indicated the F 4 did not follow two course changes. Officials said Air Force One remained safe during Reagan's North Dakota trip.
