Mosher notes tax credits may affect race issue

U S Rep Charles Mosher told Lorain County educators that tax credits should not be used to segregate races and must meet the same standards as public schools. He avoided a firm stance on state aid to private schools, citing a wait for how any bill is written, and said federal funds will become more relied upon. He opposed extreme anti bussing measures, calling busing a temporary tool for desegregation, while stressing decisions should serve the children. President Elect Robert Dinnello of LCESAA capped the session with a light quip.
