Lorain Woman Survives, Pursues Dual Careers and Culture
Lydia Flores of Lorain has built two careers, at Continental Airlines and Realty One, while actively supporting Hispanic rights. Born in Utuado Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain as a child, endured an orphanage upbringing and language barriers, later founding welfare groups, campaigning for McGovern, and raising a family as she advanced in business and travel services. She now works at Cleveland Hopkins Airport and embraces Puerto Rican heritage, fruits of education, and resilience as a Latina survivor.
