Ford union leaders vote no on tentative pact
Ford Motor union leaders at Lorain assembly plant reject a three year tentative contract. UAW Local 425 president Mike Pohorence opposed the package at a Wednesday meeting, joining Avon Lake and Brook Park in dissent. National voting by bank and file workers is due by Oct. 28, with Lorain likely to vote Oct. 28. Opposition centers on tiered wage increases seen as pitting workers against each other.
