Right applicants for elder-care training not a crowd
Lorain County welfare officials struggle to recruit 12 more candidates for a year long home health care aide training program for ADC clients. Seventeen have applied, but many decline due to schooling, transportation, or not being suited for frail elder care. Five of the 12 accepted have already secured jobs with the Lorain County Health Department.

Avon Lake Learwood Junior High schedules parent teacher conferences October 22 to 26 with early dismissal at 1:30 pm each day. Open sessions run Monday to Thursday in the cafeteria from 2 to 4 pm with 7 to 10 minute slots. after hours 7 to 9 pm for working families.
