Oberlin police jail s on drug charges
Oberlin police arrested two Toledo men Sunday night after officers found eight thousand dollars worth of hashish and marijuana in an Oberlin Inn room. One man, James A. Reese, was fined two hundred dollars and given a 30 day suspended sentence. the other inmate was not charged.

Elyria Man Fined and jailed on DWI Plea
Cornell Broadus of 404 Bell Ave pleaded guilty in Elyria Municipal Court to driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined 250 dollars and costs, sentenced to three days in jail, and received a six month license suspension. Charged by Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Norwalk appoints new head of trash collection
Norwalk selects Raymond L. Lescher, 37, of Erie Street, an 11 year city employee, to lead the free municipal trash pickup starting in January. Lescher, from the street and water department, becomes foreman as Mayor Wayne Goodsite announced. He was born in Ashland, has lived in Norwalk about 12 years, and served in the Army for two years. He and wife Carol have two children, Sally and David.
