Midview bus driver vacation request deadlocked by board
Midview Board of Education granted a nine day vacation leave to bus driver Earl Moore despite Supt John Beatty’s refusal. The 3-2 vote split followed concerns over substitute driver shortages and a six week licensing delay for new drivers. The board also raised mileage reimbursement for employee trips from 9 to 12 cents per mile retroactively to Oct 1. Portia Bradley hired as girls guidance counselor at Midview High School with a Seton Hall masters degree and two years experience.
