Rookie stewardess backs hijacked jet to safety
Nancy Davis a 22 year old Seattle flight school graduate on her first trip confronted hijacker Dale Labon Thomas a 28 year old Hawthorne California man aboard a 737 with 31 passengers. She talked the pilot into returning to Anchorage to drop passengers and then to Vancouver before the jet flew again toward Havana. Thomas was taken into custody by RCMP inspector Bruce Northrup after a long conversation.
