Manslaughter Case to Jury in Lorain Collision

The trial of Jon Lewalski in Lorain opens with arguments by defense counsel Chas L Adams and Adolph Kesek and prosecutor Lawrence Webber for the state. The charge is manslaughter in the death of Olga Timm when Lewalski's auto collided with a bus. The defense claims an accident. the state alleges reckless driving and alcohol impairment. Free Official of Misconduct in Lima Exonerated

R. R. Trubey assistant prosecuting attorney of Allen county was exonerated of misconduct charges filed by former Congressman Walty. A Allen County Bar Association inquiry found insufficient evidence and recommended dismissal. Trubey resigned earlier after Welty action and the case related to two Lima align companies and counsel disputes.

Pressure mounts to call extra session before election

Fire kills two at Evans Lake cottages near Adrian

Adrian Michigan, Oct. 19. Daniel Carney, 65, and his 3 year old grandson died in a blaze that destroyed five cottages at Evans Lake, 15 miles northwest of Adrian. A sixth cottage was badly damaged. The fire origin remains unknown.
