Woman killed in Vermilion breakwall boat crash

Vermilion police and the U S Coast Guard investigated a early morning boat crash that left a woman dead. The 18 to 20 foot power boat struck the breakwall near the Vermilion River at 3 a m. Charles Wojtko 40 Vermilion operated the boat. he was found and hospitalized in serious condition. James Hayes 51 Berea, a passenger, was rescued. The victim's body was recovered by a Coast Guard helicopter and sent to Sandusky Memorial Hospital for a coroner's determination.

Cupid Finds Way In CT Sweetest Ad For Couple

Don, 24, a Birmingham farmer, placed a marriage ad in the Chronicle Telegram after shyness kept him from proposing in person. Linda Lawsee, 24, of 260 Overbrook Drive and a Merle Norman cosmetics adviser, answered the ad and accepted. Linda is a former US Army radio team chief who served in Korea. Rick Dandrea of Lorain set the match, and the couple, who met last August, plan to meet tonight to discuss wedding plans. Both enjoy business, animals, and flying.
