37 crewmen missing as Sylvia L. Ossa vanishes in Bermuda Triangle
The 590-foot Sylvia L. Ossa carrying iron ore from Brazil to Philadelphia disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle. Coast Guard ships and two long-range aircraft searched 8,200 square miles after last radio contact 140 miles west of Bermuda. An oil slick and debris were found, including a lifeboat and a rope coil, but no distress signal was recorded. The vessel, owned by Omnium Shipping Corp of New York, had heavy weather and gale winds reported before loss.

Water supply restored after city leaks found
A water main break spree left an undetermined number of homes without service yesterday and today as crews repaired at least four breaks. All lines were back by mid morning except a Second and Cedar street line slated for today. Breaks also fixed on Gall Road Huron Street and Second Street at East Avenue.
