Lorain crash kills couple and two children
A Cadillac airborne about 70 feet struck Larry and Janet Duncan’s Mercury Capri at the Oberlin Avenue crossing. The crash killed the Lorain couple and their two young daughters Rachelle and Stephanie. Two other Duncan children and Pamela Robertson in critical condition at Lorain Community Hospital. Police cited suspected alcohol involvement and ongoing probes.

County death toll hits 39 in Lorain County
Lorain County traffic deaths reached 39 this year after a Lorain couple and two of their children died. Two Ohio 58 crashes near an iron railroad bridge south of the Turnpike claimed five lives. Ohio Wesleyan University students, an Elyria woman and others perished in late September. A Cleveland man, a North Ridgeville teen, and a Litchfield motorcyclist were among the victims. The report notes a high toll with multiple incidents across late September to October.

Ex Ridgeville man killed in LA robbery
Former North Ridgeville resident Joseph Brosta IV, 41, of Reseda California, was shot during a robbery near his Los Angeles home while returning from a high school gig. Police chased three suspects in a stolen van. Brosta’s death is under investigation. Bogner Funeral Home of North Ridgeville handles arrangements. Survivors include his parents and sister.
