Sherrill Found Sane and Sentenced to Life
Roy Sherrill was found guilty of first degree murder and given life imprisonment by three Lorain County judges. The panel ruled he was sane at the time of the March 21, 1972 killing of Joseph Suvar, a Carlisle Township farmer, whose charred body was found in a barn fire shortly after the murder.

Inmates Escape From Grafton Honor Farm
Three prisoners from Grafton State Farm fled yesterday while at Lorain County Community College for classes. Twenty four inmates ride the bus daily to LCCC. 21 returned. Fugitives named Michael Wheeler Bert Rockwell and Gary Reeves. The escape occurred about 3 15 p.m. when the bus arrived and records showed they had not attended classes.
