Ford Ohio Assembly Plant shifts 2016 F-650 F-750 production
Ford shifts production of its 2016 F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks from Mexico to the Ford Ohio Assembly Plant in Lorain County. Opened in 1974, the plant employs about 1,530 workers and executives cite U.S. manufacturing commitment. Joe Hinrichs says the investment reinforces American vehicle building and best-in-class trucks. The plant designs its own diesel engine and transmission and offers a gasoline engine option.
