Teens cope with diabetes attitudes in Lorain rap session
A 21 year old Lorain ambulance driver Bill Blackhall describes stigma he faces as a diabetic. He joins a bi monthly juvenile diabetic support group at Lorain County Community Hospital to discuss public attitudes and coping strategies. Other youths share experiences of school peer pressure, dietary restrictions, and the emotional impact of living with diabetes while managing injections and blood sugar monitoring.
