Fire destroys Antiques and Craft Shop in Oberlin blaze

Betty Nelson watched as a fire swept through her year old Antiques and Craft Shop at 2715 S Main St. in Oberlin. Three businesses in the Clark Brothers Construction Co building were destroyed as fire crews from Oberlin Wellington and South Amherst fought the blaze. Salvage work followed with Nelson and others removing furniture and antiques. Insurance was unavailable and burglary last month left the shop without coverage for the loss. Nelson noted she will store salvaged items and rebuild, saying it is not the end but the bend. Nearby Edinburgh dispatch adds a note on Santa Claus land at Aviemore center in Scotland as a separate item.
