Fire damages condemned Sheffield Lake rental home
A vacant house at 512 Treadway Blvd in Sheffield Lake was damaged by a morning fire near a first floor utility room. The home had been condemned Sept 22 for safety issues after a tenant complaint. owner John Halfhill blamed damaged by prior tenants who left without paying rent and removed fixtures. Fire departments from several jurisdictions assisted. cause under investigation. The home is valued at 39 500 according to the county auditor.
