Auditor denies IRG bid to lower Ford plant value in Elyria
Lorain County Board of Revision kept the former Ford Lorain Assembly Plant assessed at 10.5 million dollars after an hour hearing with Industrial Realty Group IRG arguing the plant is worth far less. IRG purchased the site for one dollar in December 2006 and uses about 12 percent of space for five tenants amid national economic decline and a 2008 collapse. Vermilion Schools would receive the bulk of about 210 thousand dollars in Lee plant funds.
