State Museum Relics Highlight 1926 meeting
Columbus Oct 15 The Ship Archaeological and Historical Museum received priceless papers and relics from the annual meeting. Winthrop Sergent papers, 1810 bound volumes, 1847 bound newspaper files, and an Egyptian mummy were presented. The session discussed the Maxwell Code and included official elections and approvals amid a largely ceremonial gathering.

Canfield family ties noted in Litchfield report
Litchfield records show Mrs R C Canfield and sister Imogene Canfield visiting their parents Mr and Mrs Chas Canfield. Henry Caswell once a local resident now in Washington DC visited earlier in the week. Numerous local social events include a birthday dinner for Mrs Fred Gott hosted by Mr and Mrs Gott, Carl Anderson, John Welch and families, and Imogene Canfield visiting grandparents H E Jenne. Radios carried World Series returns as residents gathered. An entertainment for the Park and Cemetery Association was announced for Friday October 16 in the town hall with Kauffman Maplan Kelso performing. Local attendance at Congregational Rally Day was strong. Rev Oliver Medford led the afternoon program.
