Hope to Establish Stands for Sale of Products by Blind
The Commission for the Blind and the Lorain County Adult Education group seek to set up stands in public buildings and factories in Lorain County for selling packaged goods by blind persons. Plans include a center called the League House with a workshop for handicrafts, a braille reading room, club rooms, and show rooms. The effort is supported locally by the Lorain Lions Club and Elyria Service League, with prior rooms provided by the Elyria Board of Education. The program aims to train and employ blind residents while fostering community cooperation.
