Kidnaping Plot Suspects Held in San Bernardino
Three men arrested in San Bernardino in a plot to kidnap Cleveland millionaire Clarence G. White and Redlands physician Charles Lombard. A conspirator carried a letter demanding 15000 dollars under threat of death. Lombard not related to the Redlands doctor. Police suspect more principals may be involved.

Woman hurls two children to death in Milwaukee tragedy
A deranged aunt, Aurela Lorenz, 30, hurled her two nieces 4 and 5 from a hotel window in Milwaukee, then leapt after them. A note blamed a brother for past wrongs.
