Firemen summoned as ironing board fire in Blaine street
The fire department resumed two calls at noon Wednesday. The first occurred on Blaine street where an electric flat iron on an ironing board caused smoke and minor damage after the cord burned through the floor. The second call involved Walter Ludwig's car on Middle agenda, put out after a short circuit. No injuries reported. The town saw a community picnic at the school grounds with a self serve supper and band music.
