The New London Ruritan Club held a picnic at Recreation Park to reward 33 area youths from 4-H clubs and FFA chapters for fair participation at the 2011 Huron and Lorain County fairs. Each received a donation check funded by more than 60 local businesses and individuals. The Wakeman Friends of the Library meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wakeman Community Library. the public is invited.
