Funding cuts threaten Route 2 bypass in Erie County
State Rep. Marie Tansey warns federal funding cuts by the Reagan administration may imperil the Route 2 bypass plan in Erie County. She notes Ohio faces $19 million less in federal primary funding for 1982, jeopardizing a $31 million project. Work continues on engineering agreement modifications, with about three months to finalize. Further 1983 cuts could affect bid sale dates for the unfinished link, unless federal participation remains steady.
