Five Killed as Af Cargo Plane Crashes in Texas Ranch
An Air Force C130 Hercules crashed on the 6666 Ranch near Guthrie Texas while filming television commercials. Five crew members died and a sixth survived after the four engine plane erupted in flames. The survivor was airlifted to Dyess Air Force Base for surgery. The aircraft belonged to the 516th Troop Carrier Wing based at Dyess near Abilene.
