Applications For Farm Machinery Are Approved

Eighteen applications for farm machinery were approved by the Lorain County Farm Machinery Rationing Board at its weekly meeting Friday evening. The next regular meeting will be held Friday evening at 243 Second Street. Approved items include manure spreaders, huskers and shellers, electric milk coolers, tractors, hay balers, corn pickers, and milking machines for residents in Wellington Oberlin LaGrange New London Vermilion and other townships, with several growers named.

Scrap Matinee Set For Two Elyria Theaters

Progress in Scrap Collection in Rural Areas

Continued progress in the scraps of salvage campaign in rural areas. Lorain County is reported by county chairman J Haarmel for rural areas. E O Schramm reported scrap collection starting today to supplement 7 tons already directed. The township has a quota of 70 tons for August to December. Collections begin in the township today by FE C Te and M Denger with reduced rates for most scraps. A scrap pile of more than 15 tons formed in Stead Township school Friday night and Saturday as students started with two tracks, gathering scrap across the township and guiding it to salvage bins or yards.
