Oberlin reports 1923 24 budget needs totaling 5500 including 2000 for Oberlin Hospital 400 Hospital Auxiliary 1500 Visiting Nurse Fund 500 Playground Equipment 600 Night School and 650 Undesignated. Pledges sought week of Oct 1 with average gift 20 percent above last year. Noted past due pledges 1559. Committees named for canvass publicity and supervision with meetings and speakers planned at the new high school.

At the Oberlin W C T U opening meeting held at Mrs H C King's home on East College street on Oct 10 3 p m the group welcomed 173 new members this year with a reception. The program titled Broadcasting the Jubilee featured Mesdames Drummond Holton and Kelsay and Miss Barnes Hinman Parmalee. Retiring president Miss Henman received gifts including a brown leather traveling bag with fountain pen $5 gold piece and a wrist watch. Refreshments followed.
