Discovery delays arson trial over new evidence
An Elyria arson case against James Gilliam Jr. was postponed after his lawyer obtained a taped police statement with new names. Gilliam, charged with aggravated arson and multiple felonies, waived speedy trial as attorney seeks time to investigate and suppress evidence from the charred Middle Avenue home.
