Child Fatally Hurt While Gathering Hickory Nuts
Four year old Margarette Lucille Young of Marion died at City Hospital from a head blow during hickory nut gathering. Her father Raymond L. Young, a local filling station operator, used a piece of gas pipe to knock nuts from trees. the pipe fell on the child as he rushed to the hospital.
