Portsmouth Ohio reports all departments of the Whittaker steel plant will be idle after tonight except the blast furnace. J McFarland, plant manager, says eighty five percent of the 6000 workers will be idle indefinitely. The only labor trouble concerns shear workers who refused to work under current conditions, causing mill suspensions several days ago.

Night School to Open Here Tuesday Night
