David Lee Hofstrom 65 died Thursday October 8 2009. He served in the US Army Military Honor Guard and retired from American Airlines after 11 years with Lake Road Market in Rocky River. He is survived by his sons Scott and Leslie Matthews, grandson Mason Hofstrom, Xavier Matthews, sister D Grace Hofstrom and caregiver Sally Sochacki. Mary Ann Foglyano 74 of Elyria died October 7 2009 at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illness. Born August 22 1935 in Elyria she lived here all her life and was a homemaker member of St Jude Parish VFW Post 1079 Women’s Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed decorating gardening and time with family and her dog Monty. Her yard was named Best Yard in Lorain County by the Lorain County Realtors Association with a first place in 1994 pride and property contest. Survivors include sons William II Dale Foglyano and daughter Joyce Nielsen plus grandchildren great grandchildren and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband William R Foglyano and son Darrel Foglyano. Visitation Monday October 12 2009 from 5 PM with memorial service at 7 PM at Wyers Funeral Chapel Sheffield Township. Burial will be at a later date in St Mary’s Cemetery Elyria.
