Ex NASA inspector denies falsification charges in Orlando
Former NASA inspector Billy T Thornton pleaded not guilty in federal court to charges of falsifying safety inspections on the Space Shuttle Discovery. Prosecutors allege he completed nine critical inspections without performing them, including wheel repairs by United Space Alliance, risking the shuttle's safety prior to the 2003 Columbia disaster follow-up mission.
