Buffalo Oct 3 Diamonds valued at 3200 were stolen from Max Lowenthal a saleman for a Rochester firm early today by two highwaymen. They stopped his taxicab as he neared home and forced him to surrender two suitcases. The thieves fled toward Cleveland reportedly and narrowly avoided capture when the cab driver rushed to a police station. One case containing three pairs of diamond settings was recovered in nearby Towsera.
Willigm Schwind of Claseland aged 64, father of Tlarry S Schwind, died last night at Fairview hospital Cleveland from burns and injuries after a Big Four engine derailment near Shelby weeks earlier. His wife and the fireman survived. funeral plans not yet arranged.
