Week-End Traffic Wrecks Injure Twelve In Local Roundup
Twelve persons were hurt in weekend traffic incidents reported to police and the sheriff. Don Burzgan faces reckless driving charges after his car struck Mrs. Robert Wood and her daughter Betty on Middle Avenue near Third Street. Mrs. Wood suffered a brain concussion. Betty had minor injuries. Mrs. Wood and Betty were helped into a car driven by Jack Meyers to Elyria Memorial Hospital. Also injured were Oney Fitzpatrick, who was treated at Elyria Memorial for facial injuries after colliding with Arthur Lockard’s car near Broad and Chestnut. Pedestrian Jack Forbes sustained minor injuries after being struck on Cleveland Road. A three car crash at State Routes 259 and 224 near New London left Mrs. Shreve and Arlene Swartz injured. their car, driven by C. L. Swartz, hit another vehicle. Continued on page 2.

Wreckage Found After United Plane Crash Near Silver Crown
Twelve people died when a United Airlines transport crashed near Silver Crown northwest of Cheyenne. The big Boeing twin motor went down in Crow Creek Valley after radio contact was lost at 2:15 a.m. Weather was calm and clear. Rescue parties located the mangled wreckage and bodies about two miles west of Silver Crown, 13 miles from Cheyenne.
