Elyria YMCA Campaign Ended in Record Giving
A 1911 Elyria effort raised 126726 dollars for a YMCA building to serve men and boys in Ely Square. Local business leaders organized a 10 day drive with 100 volunteers, canton of chairs, and a public clock hand tallying pledges. The drive ended with a noon milestone and a city celebration as funds surpassed the $100000 goal.
