FirstEnergy chief predicts rising utility bills amid plan
Anthony Alexander, FirstEnergy president, warns that bills will climb under Gov. Strickland’s energy plan to require 25 percent renewable or advanced sources by 2025. He cites higher costs for labor, coal, and maintenance, while regulation caps revenue, and notes Ohio’s wind and sun variability may push prices higher.
