Lindh given twenty year sentence in terrorism case
John Walker Lindh the American Taliban received a 20 year sentence in Alexandria Virginia after a tearful statement of remorse. The judge noted forgiveness is separate from punishment. Prosecutors said Lindh admitted responsibility but many will view the sentence as too lenient. Several co defendants were meanwhile charged in Oregon and Michigan in a related terrorism probe.
