The Ohio State Auditor will not inspect Norwalk's payroll records as Finance Director Doug Colvin conducts his own audit with Citizens National Bank assistance. Payroll clerk and former city auditor Charles Woodward was suspended Sept 11 over alleged payroll discrepancies. Colvin will forward findings to Huron County Prosecutor William Owens.
Public notice filing dated October 4 1973 lists publication location Elyria Ohio and Lorain County agencies. It names Arthur Hudnatt Arnold Miller and others as owners and officers with addresses in Elyria and Elyria Ohio. Mortgagees and securities details are partially listed but incomplete.
Four children from the Henson family died when a cement truck collided with their car on Ohio 127 near Hamilton. The victims were Billy Henson 4 Sommerville and siblings Johnny 2 Mich elle, with James Henson 31 and Jacqueline Henson 32 in the car listed in poor condition. Charles Wren the truck driver from Loveland was hurt and admitted to Ft Hamilton Hospital. the crash occurred as the truck failed to yield while turning left.
A third murder charge was filed by Pennsylvania state police against Jack Paul Reale, an Ohio soldier linked to as many as six killings. The latest case accuses him of murdering 66 year old John Joseph Conner of Struthers Ohio.
New London Hospital Auxiliary seeks items for its fall rummage sale to be held October 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Donations include clothing jewelry dishes and novelties. Call Mrs. O Dell or Mrs. Miller to arrange pickup.
