Suburban churches schedule Sunday worship and programs
In suburban churches, Hally Day activities at He Eaton Church of Christ include a program directed by Mrs. Ela Carpenter with music by the Junior choir and the Tompkins all girl orchestra. North Ridgeville Congregational Church promotes Rally Sunday and a promotion service with songs, scripture, and perfect attendance awards. Avon Baptist and Avon Methodist churches list morning worship and special features, while Fields and La Porte Methodists observe World Communion Sunday with open communion and offerings. The WYACINTHS rove in Baton Rouge as the police jury funds a machine to clear water hyacinths from the State Capitol lake to curb mosquito breeding.
