Gas-Burners Made Here Shipped to Several States
Geisel Manufacturing Company, maker of the Glo-Cone Ras conversion burner, began with local sales in Elyria and now ships majorly to Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah, and Arizona. Parts are sourced nationwide, assembled at Chestnut Street, with California regulators, Missouri refractory, and Elsby Foundry castings. The burners feature a generator-driven control, pilot-ignited gas, and a safety design that closes the main valve on pilot failure. The firm, led by Geisel and Floyd Schiltl, notes long burner life with minimal moving parts and plans to expand distribution as demand grows.

Views On The News ANCON Panama Canal Tales
In Panama the narrator recalls a trip through the Canal from lock to lock, marveling at the aging machinery still in use and the speed of locks like a freight elevator. He notes war remnants, steel piles for bomb‑proofing, and how carrier ships tested the central tower. An amusing anecdote about Ambassador Hines and a giant bushmaster ends with a lottery superstition linking 32 to luck.
