Golden Acres to hire nursing head in Elyria
Maurita Ferguson will become director of nursing at Lorain County Golden Acres Home in Elyria as the facility creates the post to fill the lack of a full time registered nurse. The 98 resident home already has practical nurses and aides. Ferguson brings 28 years as an American Red Cross nurse and prior nursing roles at Elyria Memorial Hospital and Lorain County Health Department. Her husband is Elyria City Solicitor George Ferguson.
