In Atlantic County New Jersey on November 30 1927 state prosecutors pressed to tie Willis Beach to the September 15 1927 murder of Dr William Lilien Dahl. Harry F Sanderson of Sidney Ohio testified he saw a blue coupe near the road and a man in the underbrush resembling Beach though he could not positively identify him.
