New Ohio Patrol Post Opens for I 480 Coverage

The Ohio Highway Patrol opens a new post at 12323 Broadway to patrol Interstate 480 from North Ridgeville to Streetsboro. Lt Neil Hassinger says it will cooperate with local police. The office began Nov 15 with five officers on one shift and will add five more by Jan 1 to run two shifts. Emergency numbers are 587 4305 and 323 5494.

Midview suit denied as mother outraged in fatal crash case

Elyria jurors dismissed the Roberts family's $50 million suit against the Midview district and driver Kathleen Uszak, finding Jennifer Roberts 17 at fault after a 1988 crash left her permanently disabled. Rita Roberts says her daughter was not guilty and plans no appeal.
