Fatal Baltimore and Ohio locomotive explosion near Dayton
One man was killed and two injured when the locomotive hauling an extra freight train exploded near Kilkare Park east of Dayton at 1:00 this morning. Ed Kimmear, the fireman, died. Harry Sifford the engineer and Charles Brown the head brakeman were badly burned but Nicholas army broken was expected to recover. The boiler tore from the engine and flew 150 feet onto a bridge, stopping traffic for hours.

Oberlin November 29 3 E C Gibbons a Pittsfield farmer and his two children Polly Gibbons 15 and Lex Gibbons 13 were injured this morning on the way to Oberlin. Gibbons stopped to aid a friend walking on the road when the car skidded struck a telephone pole and overturned. Polly and Lex suffered broken bones and Mr Gibbons sustained bruises. They were taken to Oberlin hospital for surgical attention.
