Elyria police say Lamar Capers, 32, was found shot to death in the driveway at 635 Lowell St. early Monday. The coroner is reviewing the death as investigators interview a person of interest with no charges filed as of Wednesday.

Man charged after bar stabbing in Lorain parking lot
Lorain man Yato Segun is accused of stabbing Michael Smith in the parking lot of Richard's Premier Lounge around 9 55 p m Tuesday. Segun denied the stabbing and claimed Smith aggressed first after a prior dispute at Lorain County Community College. Witnesses cited Segun handing the knife to two men who drove off as police investigated.

Elyria man Jonathan Smith Jr. and Lorain resident Allen Wooten were indicted on multiple charges including attempted murder felonious assault and aggravated burglary for an Oct. 5 home invasion in which officers responding to the scene were fired upon at a residence on Oberlin Avenue.
